When I got the opportunity to make this film, I wanted to be behind the camera — where I belong. Poking through my own sordid life would just be too painful. And it was. At times I wanted to scream from frustration and embarrassment. I did a lot of crying. It was all too raw and invasive.

Also, learning the ins and outs of Huntington's Disease was challenging at that time. But this was the birth of a film, and now we have a movie that people need to see. I'm in a better place than most people with Huntington's so I feel I owe it to the HD community to be a voice for the disease. It's something I'm able to do --- at the moment. I have no idea how far my own symptoms will go. Hopefully this film will raise awareness about this often-horrifying disease that families are so silent about.

I need to thank my very talented friends who helped me tremendously on this project. For their time, stamina, sensitivity, financing and smarts. They saw a need for this documentary and took time out of their schedules and lives to help fill that need. It was a learning experience for all of us.
